Stephen has practised commercial property and general commercial laws for 10 years, and is highly valued
by his clients for guiding them in the leasing, acquisition, disposal, and development of all asset classes of
commercial property, with the client's commercial drivers and objectives at the forefront of his mind.
Stephen's core service areas are:

  • Leasing (retail, commercial and industrial), acting for both landlords and tenants);

  • Capital transactions - Purchase and disposal of retail centres, commercial buildings, industrial and hospitality assets;

  • Property development (residential, commercial, industrial and mixed use), including conveyancing; and

  • Business purchase and sale, and franchising.

Outside of work, Stephen is a big fan of soccer, classical music, tennis and badminton.


  • Acted on all aspects of the redevelopment projects for Town Square Redbank Plains and Sunnybank Market Square.

  • Acting for a national retail business on all aspects of its leasing portfolio (large format retail and warehouse leasing).

  • Acting for institutional landlords, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and various small to medium size landlords on leasing and capital transactions (acquisition and disposal) of retail, commercial, industrial and hospitality assets.

  • Acting on residential subdivision and development projects (including community title and strata projects in QLD and NSW).

  • Acted as Senior Legal Counsel for a large Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and reputable national furniture retail business.

  • Admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia
