Farm Management Grants to assist primary producers and their family members offset costs associated with succession planning and advice were launched by the Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority (QRAA) on Friday 24 March. Further details provided by QRAA are as follows:
Farm Management Grants assist eligible Queensland primary producers or their relatives offset the costs of professional advice associated with transferring an interest in the primary production enterprise. Rebates of up to 50 per cent of the amount paid for professional advice, to a maximum of $2,500 per financial year, are available.
Costs eligible for the rebate include those for professional advice provided by suitably qualified professionals including for example, accountants, financial planners or solicitors.
This scheme will close to applications 30 June 2019
There is an option to get an approval in-principle prior to obtaining advice, eligible expenditure is to be incurred from 24th March 2017 onwards.
